We are getting ready to go on vacation and Sophie is going along. We are going to my dad's and he is very excited to meet her. He isn't doing well and I think she will lift him up a little. We are stil fighting the flea problem. We have been using a flea comb on her twice a day and it has helped. She hates it! If I see her scratch I will get it just in case and she will run for her life when she sees it come out. I leave it on the coffee table in a baggie though, so that she can see it and she has started to get used to it a little I think. I have to be very careful though, she has dry sensitive skin and the comb itself can irritate her.

Poor Roody is still trudging along. His tummy is more extended and he is coughing more. He doesn't seem to be in any pain, is still eating and even chased Sophie around the house, PLAYING, last week. I cried! He hasn't played like that in 8 months. She didn't know what to do. I laughed at them until I cried. She has always been the "come on, come on, what's the matter with you? Get up and play old man, come on" one and he would just look at her as if to say "GET AWAY FROM ME!" until she would carry it too far and then he would snap at her. She thinks it's funny when he does and it just gets her going more.

So far Mulder has had a busy summer. We have hit the parks and played outside nearly everyday. My fiancee was down last week and Mulder was in heaven. When I had to be at practice Mulder had a partner in crime. He loves when I grill because we spend a lot of time on the deck then. He loves trying to see what's on the grill, but I carefully watch him so he doesn't get hurt.

He has taken to walking on his hind legs when we are in the back yard. He loves to see what we are all doing and what better way then up on your hind legs. I tease him and tell him that his he is full of "poo"

All this being outside is causing him to sleep well. He settles down quite early and gets me up before my alarm. I will never be late for swim practice with him around.

We are getting ready to move to Canada and I'm excited for the move. The house is in chaos, but Mulder just rolls with the punches. He loves playing hide and seek with the my cat Indy. He wants her to chase her so he ambushes her from behind boxes. They then romp all over the house.

Mulder has made my summer much more enjoyable.
