Growing up there have been many dogs in my family. Mostly poodles cause thats my moms favorite breed. But We have a rat terrier and a few other dogs as well. But they are the family pets and we all take care of them. But when my Step dad handed me, Precious my 5 and half month old Bullsky (Husky Bull Mastiff mix) when she was only 6 weeks old. And he said This is yours.... And my mom goes this is yours and I want nothing to do with it... So she is mine and I find myself switching roles from the family pet to the Pet Parent. And now I'm questioning everything I know about dogs! First off I've never had a BIG dog before, like I said rat terrier teat cup poodle are no where near the size of a Bullsky puppy let alone full grown bullsky! And I'm like Ahhhh what am I going to do with this gigantic fur ball? I think I've been doing pretty okay for the past 4 months or so that she has been mine. But I know I could be doing better. I feel like questions run in my head all the time. How do I train her best? I've tried some small training but I know I need to do a whole lot better because she doesn't listen well. Is she growing at the rate she should be? I think she isn't, but I could just be parniod... Like I said never had a biog dog before, She's slowed down growing a lot and I don't know if thats right or not... When do you take them to get their shots, to get Spayed? Should I get a microchip implanted in her? How much should I be feeding her? I know I've read that they are more like grazers and like to eat throughout the day but with other dogs in the house that eat all dog food in sight its hard to just leave food out. And thats just some off them... I just think I'm a litte bit in over my head here... Any advice for this new puppy parent?

So went to introduce sully to my family today.everything went good tell my cousins little girl started chasing her and then she wouldn't leave my side and constantly wanted to be held. She's gotta get used to things a little better. I've been trying to train and calm get buy using words to let her know she had nothing too worry about. like calm Down or stuff like that but she's getting there. As soon ass we got home she perked right up and started running around. She still ain't really playful but I think she'll come around soon
