Weimapeake

We have had a weimapeake for 2 years now and she is an amazing dog. We have owned many many dogs through out our lives and this one is the most unique ever. First of all, she is absolutely beautiful. I look at the pictures you have online and I do realize we happend to get an unusually beautiful dog.Her eyes are molten gold - like gold leafing. She has the tucked tummy, but not as long a snout as is described. Her muscle definition is remarkable. Second, she is so intelligent. She is very verbal, understanding us and in trying to "talk" herself. I am really glad she doesn't have an opposible thumb - she would likely pass me up in intelligence! Sometimes it is a problem as she can open any door, find any toy, remember anything that works to her interest, even over many days. We have learned to spell many words around her. She lives with three cats and there has been no problem except some mild teasing - from the dog, not the cats! Third, she loves people. She is utterly loyal to us, loves to snuggle even though she is almost 80 pounds. It is like she can't get enough of us. She lets us know if a stranger comes into the yard, but then loves to greet them at the door, assuming they are there for her. She loves to interact and is very playful. She loves to fetch and play frizbee. The biggest problem we have had is her tendency to be very oral. Part of her greeting is to "taste" by running her big wet tongue over an arm. As a puppy she started to chew on furniture but we solved that completely by using a bitter spray on anything she showed interest in. (Hartz makes a good one.)We have had very little digging in the yard. Knowing how most American dogs get overweight because we can't resist giving her more treats than we should, we put her on a low-calorie food at about 18 months old. We play with her at least twice a day - fetch and frizbee - and she has kept a trim figure this way. She is a great dog and we just loveher!

Coco

I rescued my Chiweenie, Coco, from the Paws for A Cause shelter. She is long haired, and chocolate colored with beautiful tan markings. She is a little angel. She was abused in a puppy mill but she has recovered so well!! She LOVES to snuggle and she doesn't chew and she hasnt peed in my house ever. She is absolutely adorable. I am so in love with her and would do almost anything for her. Chiweenies are wonderful dogs and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a loving, smart dog.

Katie

My wife and I got katie from a neighbor who's lab had a litter about a year ago. I am not sure if katie has anything else in her be sides yellow lab and golden retriever. She's a very sweet, intelligent dog that is one of the greatest dogs I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She and our older lab mix chuk get along quite well most of the time. Katie loves wading in water, and always splashes and plays in the streams on the trails at our local state park. She is a wonderful dog and we love her very much!

Tracker

Tracker joined our family in March. I had gotten to know him a little before we found out that he was part pitbull. I had always been a little scared of pitbulls because of all the stories that you hear. I was not scared of Tracker though and it was then I realized that the stories are not necessarily the truth about those dogs. Tracker is just a very loving dog. He is an excellent watchdog. We have noticed that he can be very rowdy and rambunctious when he wants to be but we are trying to train him that there is a time for that and a time when he needs to settle down. He accepts that. He can also be the most clumsy dog you will ever meet. Yesterday, he tripped over his own feet. We got a good laugh out of that one. We keep him well socialized both with other animals (we have four cats and another dog) and people. He responds quite well to strangers. A friend of ours came over the other night whom we hadn't seen for a while so she had never met the dog. He barked at her at first and then wanted to give her kisses. I am so happy that we were able to give this dog a home. I adore him.
