Crothers
We purchased our St. St. Berner (7/8 St. Bernard, 1/8 Bernese Mntn. Dog) June 2008. At five and a half months,(Oct 2008) he weighs over 75 lbs (lean, not fat). He is gentle with our cats (3) our kids (6, 4 of which are 7 or under) and our other dog (5 yo. f. Akita/Lab)and easy to train though a bit over eager to please. He is extremely friendly with strangers and loves water.
He learned "sit, down, dead dog, and shake" with no trouble and loves tug-of-war and fetch, is incredibly soft-mouthed, and like most big dogs, clumsy. House-trained early and easily. Looks like a St. Bernard without the white neck collar, nearly pure sable, black mask, white paws and blaze. Soft coat, tons of drool, and Crothers (think Scatman Crothers) likes to drink out of the bathroom sink. Awesome disposition, open and interested in everyone and happy. Well-loved by his whole family, and recommended by his mom. If you have a decent sized yard, and can train with love and treats, a St. Berner makes a fabulous family pet. I own a Bordernese, and from what I have experienced, she is a vey affectionate, loyal, well behaved family member. We have two small children that are under 5, and she's been climbed on, hugged, and fed cheerios, and is always a gentle lady about it. She is an easily excited dog, and a calm strong presence is needed when she gets wound. Mostly we avoid this with excersise, lots and lots of excersise. She is a big dog, and has some big needs, the hair takes regular grooming, and did I mention excersise!lol I can't sing her praises enough. I think that this dog is a good breed if you are after a dog that likes having a job, this means regular......you guessed it, excersise!!! But this is a beautiful dog, with a kind and loyal spirit!!

I have had my Cavapom Molly for three years. She does not like to be alone. She is very smart, and loves to go for walks and car rides. She is almost like a big dog in a little dog's body. She loves to swim and play. I got her a playmate recently, because when I got to work she gets very depressed.

Our little Tinkerbell is only 14 weeks old, and already she is learning commands and is happy to "potty" outside. She rings the bell at the door and whines to go out. We followed Victoria Stillwell's book (It's Me or the Dog) for housetraining & a few commands. That woman is a genius! Anyway, Tinkerbell is adjusting great to our 3 children (who all love her just a bit too much!), all of our crazy neighbors, our older dog (an Ori Pei) and the neighborhood dogs, all of which join us at the bus stop every morning & afternoon! She is playfull, loveable and adorable. What a wonderful addition to our family!

My doxie pin was adopted from a shelter at 18 months old. He is a very active, playful, curious dog. He can be stubborn and hard to train at times. Would much rather play than pay attention in obedience class. He is smart. Picked up housetraining in a couple of days. Very loving and can be quite affectionate when he isn't busy playing. No health problems at all so far. He is 2 1/2 now.

Bella is a mix of Cavalier King Charles and Pom. She has the sweetest and most affectionate nature. Bella is a people dog and needs company as she does not like being on her own. She has a beautiful fluffy coat which needs a brush each say, she also loves to go for walks.
Anyone thinking of getting a Cavapom will not regret their choice as she is just a sweet affectionate lap dog who will love you forever.
