Hercules's Story & Details
This is Hercules. He is actually a Shorkie Tzu. He was born on November 28th, 2007. His father was a 2 ½ lb Yorkie and his mother was an 8 lb Shih Tzu. Hercules was 3 months old when we adopted him. We were told he would weigh about 5 lbs. Well Hercules weighs 11 lbs today. This is not an issue for us at all. I only point this out so you will be aware of how difficult it is to determine the size your Shorkie will be. We couldn't love him any more than we do, and 11 lbs seems to be just the perfect size for us. He is still small enough to go everywhere I go except my work. He loves going to Home Depot, Computer Stores and the bank. He is very quiet, rarely barks, and he loves to play with stuffed toys. He is very intelligent, and very easy to train. He knows how to crawl, rollover and can give high five. to name a few of his tricks. He is so interactive with us at times he seems like a two year old child in a funny Halloween costume. He receives a weekly bath, and goes to the groomer about every six weeks for a puppy cut. The groomers just love working on him. He is so calm; he often falls asleep just after his bath. We try to keep him extra clean because we do take him everywhere we go and him also sleeps with us. He is an excellent alert dog, but not a good guard dog; he thinks everyone is his friend.
