We got Barky at the Central Oregon Humane Society. The story is this. We were about to leave the shelter when a young man walked Barky in. He sat right down next to my husbands wheelchair. We were adopted!! Barky is now a service dog and a therapy dog. He goes to the Cancer Center and we let people pet him and get to know him. My husband had a stroke in November of 2008 and I found out I had breast cancer in January of 2009. Barky is our blessing. I'm sure glad he picked us to take him home.
