I adopted Merlin from the Atlanta Small Dog rescue. He was taken from a high kill shelter near Athens, GA. I don't have any info about his history, but he's terrified of feet and seems to have PTSD, so I assume he was abused somewhat. When I first adopted him he would pee on himself whenever I reached for him. With a lot of work and patience he's overcome some of his fears, but I think he will always be a nervous dog. He is a momma's boy though, and I love him to pieces. I wouldn't trade him for any other dog.
