Dash's Story & Details
Dash came into our lives by my boyfriend clipping out an ad for Black Lab/Weimeraner mix puppies. He said we should call & ask about them. They were 10 weeks. Turns out there were the 3 boys of the litter left. We went to see them & picked him! We were glad to know that another lady wanted the other 2 boys & they got a loving home together. He had quite a few scrapes & scabs from either other dogs or chickens pecking/biting at his head & ears :(. We have only had him 2 days now, and have bathed him & are applying ointment to his boo-boos :). So far he seems very attentive and affectionate. We are hoping he continues to turn into a great dog like his big sister, Shelby, the chocolate lab. :D ..Oh & his name "Dash" comes from my boyfriends favorite poem "The Dash" by Linda Ellis. It's quite famous, and commonly read at funerals, but it basically talks about tombstones having a DOB and a "dash" until your death date is added. Well the "dash" signifies everything in between. :)
