I had a Cocker Spaniel that passed February 22,2010. I knew I had to get another dog but did not want a purebred and wanted to find one. My friend told me she found this dog that I should look at and when I saw him he was instantly mine. I talked to the breeder and they wanted to keep him but didnt want three big dogs. Zander has been full of surprises! His breeder said he should not be bigger than his father which is a Collie and was only 70 pounds. Not only did he out grow him in height but also in weight. He likes to do only what appeases him unless he knows I really want him to do it. He would do anything for me and has already started showing promises of being a gentle but amazing guard dog. He is gentle with young children although we had to teach him not to bite our feet because he did try to heard us! He has the most beautiful markings on his fur. I would not give him up for anything.
