I bought Athena as a companion to Serena because I work 6 days a week and didn't want her to be without a friend other than the ferrets. The girls get along wonderfully. Athena loves her big sister, a lhasa mix, so much! The first week was a little rough with different personality adjustments. Athena is a little rough around the edges and Serena is a such a neat little princess it took some time for her to adjust to Athena's tomboy attitude. Now when Athena does something sloppy like knocking food out of the bowl, Serena looks at me with that "REALLY???" expression and I swear I've heard her sigh.
