My sister-in-law had a full blooded female bassett hound and was given a young full blooded male boxer and she put them both in the yard together and well, you guessed it. She had puppies. She gave them all away, but one, which she still has. A female name Gertrude. She is 1/2 the size of Max and much like her mother, very docile. We brought Max home at 8 weeks old, introduced him to our Bulloxer as we call her...She's a 7yr old 1/2 pitt bull, 1/2 boxer mix named Roxie. They are like 2 peas in a pod. Where one goes, the other goes. He learns from her, watches every move she makes. He is very sweet, tenative, playful, humorous and is one of the best dogs we've ever owned. Hubby got him for me as my Valentine's day present, but he's wound up being Kyle's baby, that is when he's not sleepy or wants to be loved..then, he's my baby.
