I swear by German Shepherds (please see other dog)except in this case. Gretschen was 6 or 8 months running with a pack on a farm in the woods. Fighting for food was fine with her--but she did not fit in. I saw her mom--(Golden Retriever)--and heard of her dad--(Huge Shepherd).I asked the landowner the "fate" of the dog--and ended up leaving with her. Wife won her heart from there.
