New in town.. Sammys story.

Sammy was picked up by the local shelter after being abandoned and left on the street... He was then picked up by Austin Pet Alive (our shelters euthanize after 7 days). He was estimated around 8 weeks old, infested with fleas and ticks and just in a sad state. My boyfriend and I adopted him within 2 days of his arrival. Two days after that, we found out he had a severe giardia infection. The "worst" case my vet has ever seen. He may be a little guy, but he sure is a fighter!! He's getting better everyday and we are absolutely loving him!! We originally thought he was a border collie, but then found out he was a Schipperke-Pom mix. Hes the cutest thing ever.. his best feature is his ears. They fold over and we are hoping they never straighten out!! More details to come..
