Hobbes Mother is a Westie. His Father is a Yorkie. I was told he and his littermate were the result of an accidental breeding. I adopted the Westie Mother and Hobbes. The breeder kept the Father and Hobbes littermate. I was told the puppies were "Westshire Terriers". However, I never could find any information on Westshire Terriers. Quite by accident, I happened upon this site and discovered that Westie/Yorkie mixes are Fourche Terriers. I am happy to know this and find others who enjoy this wonderful breed mix. Hobbes is adorable, full of himself and very 'talkative'. He has drop ears and a gorgeous multi colored coat, of various shades of brown and black. His litermate has prick ears and is black with white hairs.It seems that Fourche terriers vary somewhat. We love Hobbes and his Westie Mom Harmony very much.
