Jake, I am not sure if the two are connected. My initial guess is yes, but that is just a guess. My two little Chipoos used to have hiccupps all the time as puppies also. I have heard is is a sign they are growing. I'm am not sure if that is just an old wives tale or not. Does he usually get them after eating? or just at random times throughout the day? If it is after eating I would keep an eye on him because it is more likely they are connected in that case. You might want to call your vet and ask them.

the vet said he should grow out of it. she also said to try some things to slow down his eating, and she said to keep him from running arround for an hour after eating.

My Chipoo gets the hicups all the time, too. it's the cutest thing..and, he is growing so maybe there is truth to that old wives tale!

Ok, this may sound bad to some ppl that may want to read something into it that isn't there but, zsa get hiccups and has forever....I do the same thing to her that I did to my kids...that my mom did to me....and it works everytime. I told my vet "Dr Denise" and she just laughed and said if it doesn't bother her and she understands what you are doing...Of course, I would NEVER do anything to make her frightened of me....just a small BOOO....and bam they are gone. The thing that does alarm me is her Wheezzing/snorting sound that encompasses her entire body????anyone else have this and find the answer or a cure? She hasn't done it for the vet yet but she says that its probably related to the allergies.....
