Lance's Trick Class
Lance just started a Trick Class on Friday nights. It is a 4 week class where he gets to learn all sorts of fun tricks like 'Are you scared?', 'Say your prayers', etc. He knows a few of the tricks already but it is going to be a fun class.
He has not been in a class room since his reactive dog class in 2009. He has come such a long way since then. He used to bark, lunge and growl at any dog from a few hundred feet away. Now his has a few friends he loves to play with and can walk with almost any other dog without reacting. It has been a long, hard road but we have accomplished so much!
I will keep you all posted and maybe post a few videos of Lance doing his new tricks

Updated Breed Results!
Last April we decided to get Lance
breed tested. We were very suprised when we got his results. They came back saying that he was at least 25% Pembroke Welsh Corgi. I was shocked to say the least, but the more I read in-depth about them and the more photos I saw the more he did resemble one in both areas.
Just recently we got an updated report from
Wisdom Panel and they have modified their results somewhat. This report came back saying that Lance is 50% (yes, one of his parents was a purebred) Australian Shepherd. He does not have very many physical traits that I see of an Aussie but he does love to heard things :)
Anyways, I just wanted to take the time to share Lance's updated results and plug our new partnership with Wisdom Panel. If you are interested in getting your dog breed tested, please check out our
Dog Breed DNA Testing page!

My Doggies
It has been a very busy summer here. Between Logan's Nose Work classes, Hikes and more I haven't had as much time to write as I would like to. I am going to try to post updates at least weekly but no promises here
.
Logan has been doing very well in his nosework classes...now if he can just pass the ORT that would be great!! Lance is now starting to walk around the neighborhood again after the terrible stormy spring and the firework crazy neighbors. Lacey is doing great as well. She is attending an event at a local assisted living community this weekend so that should be fun!
