My First Swim - Aug 2011

Well, I guess you've noticed I don't like baths... Because of this mom thought I would not be able to swim. This last summer she stressed about this until she bought me my very own life jacket. They she took me to the Hopeful Hearts Doggy Swim fundraiser.

I went in 3 times with mom up to my ears and I SWAM..... but much more fun was that I wasn't afraid to get my paws or legs wet anymore!!

Thanks Mom!! now you don't have to stress out if I ever fall out of the boat.

Casper's Half Sister - Maddy

What a coincidence....

We met Maddy and her family at the Apollo off-leash dog park 3 weeks ago and, despite the difference in their clip, these two were definitely alike. Sure enough after talking with Amy (Maddy's dog-parent) we learned that Casper and Maddy were half siblings (same sire Max but different mothers) and born only months apart.

Today we had a lovely play date and it reminded me that I'd not visited this site in months... so here I am letting you in on the good news. Casper has family that is local!! and I'm sure after they each get over the jealous guarding of their own human family that these two will grow into great friends!!.

Maybe we'll locate some of the other siblings and have a doggy Birthday party in a few months !!

Casper's First

What a pleasing way you have with me
each morning you howl to wake me up
who needs a clock alarm?

Patiently you wait for me to stoop down,
hug you and say “Good Morning!”
or from that spot you will not budge.

Off you then trot, head high,
your faux skin stuffed in your mouth,
making your face into a grin
Teasing me to play with you.

When I’m too foggy to play and plop back
down onto the seat, diligently you
lay by my feet and lick my toes awake.

Then up you get, head low, eyes to the sky
rolling them left then right
All of a sudden your face sparkles and off you dash.

Returning with your squeaky or rope toy
making a new offering
I simply can’t resist laughter and more hugs
and so your love has inspired my ode to You!

Colors?

If it helps, I'll tell you what I see: Brown background Tan and red tab menu along the top. Tan text. Overall I see it very well. Could it be the video settings on your computer? Do you have 16bit or 36 bit colour quality on your screen? If you are running it on 256k IT MAY AFFECT THE COLOURS YOU CAN SEE. Best of luck
