Well, I wanted to keep everyone up to date on Lacey's progress. It has been 16 weeks since her surgery and she appears to be better. She is running and jumping around like her old self again. I am soooooo happy that she is better and we do not have to keep her locked up any more. It was getting really hard to do and hard on us. I just keep my fingers crossed that we never have to go through something like that again. Good Luck to anyone who must undergo something like this in the future.

Pick a Peke-a-Chon?

I have had dogs all my life, mostly large breeds. Now I'm living in a smaller place, so I decided to get a smaller breed. I was going to get a Peke-a-Poo, but the breeder talked my into trying this new mixed breed. She told me that Bichons had better coats than poodles and that this litter had really nice coats. So, I agreed to try a Peke-a-Chon.
Well, not only did this little puppy have a beautiful coat, but she also has a fantastic disposition. She is incredibly social--loves people, cats, and dogs of all sizes. She seldom barks unless it is called for. She is extremely intelligent and already knows the meaning of quite a few words at the age of 6 months, including "toy," "potty," and "off." She is fun, lively, curious, and lovable but not clingy. I've taken her on 2 long car trips with no problems. I would definitely recommend this breed!
