Living with a Schapso
Temperament: Schnapsos are frisky, playful and very outgoing dogs.
Family Dog: Schnapsos make great family pets provided they are raised along side children. Some Schnapsos may be aggressive with other dogs of the same gender.
Shedding: Schnapsos are generally low shedding dogs.
Grooming: Schnapsos with a longer should be brushed several times a week. If the coat is kept shorter, the Schnapso can be brushed less frequently to maintain a healthy coat. It is important to keep the coat around the eyes, anal area and feet trimmed relatively short. Your Schnapso should be bathed when necessary.
Barking: Schnapsos, like the Schnauzer, love to bark at noises, strangers and other dogs they don't know.
Living Conditions: Schnapso make great indoor pets.
Schapso Appearance
Size: A fully grown Schnapso can weigh between 15 to 25 pounds.
Coat: Schnapsos can have a soft or wirey coat. The coat may be of any length.
