Living with a Pinweiler

Personality: Toy Hoarder. Funny, wiggly-butt kind of happiness goes on allthe time. Likes to be a lap puppy, even at 62 lbs. Determined.

Temperament: Smart, happy, protective, loving.

Family Dog: Yes, but puppy bites and chews constantly, would need obedience training right away with small children.

Shedding: Moderate.

Grooming: Occasional bath and brushing.

Training: Best trained by rewarding good behavior.

Behavior: Very energetic, loving, enjoys LOTS of attention and interaction. Aggressive chewer, have to find toys that keep them interested and are INDESTRUCTIBLE! Kong (black) is a winner.

Barking: Protective barker.

Weather: Not fond of cold weather as coat does not provide warmth, and canoverheat in summer due to black color and no guard hair.

Exercise: Needs lots of playtime, walks, or backyard space to run and play.

Physical Ability: Fast runner, unbelievable strength at "tug of war" games.

Living Conditions: Love soft beds, blankets to curl up under in winter.Definitely prefer to be inside, but spends time running off excess energyoutside.

Pinweiler Appearance

Size: 23" at withers, 62 Lbs at 10 months of age.

Companionship: Extremely loyal, like a shadow, always there.

Ears: Floppy, like either Rottie or uncropped Pinscher.

Muzzle: Pointed like a Pinscher.

Neck: Long, more like a Pinscher than Rottie.

Body: Long legs like a Pinscher, face like a Pinscher, height of a smallRottie (around 22"-23").

Color: Black and rust, markings like a Rottie.

Coat: Medium length, straight, close to body.
